AES Online Course

This free online course must be completed by wastewater designers and installers who wish to create designs using the AES wastewater treatment system or install an AES system design.

On successful completion of the course, you become AES certified and receive a certificate from Environment Technology.  The course can also be undertaken by anyone interested in the AES wastewater treatment system.

The aim of the online course is to help you learn more about how the AES system works, along with basic design and installation procedures. Firstly, you watch two videos totalling 90 minutes duration, then answer 80 multi-choice questions.

Allow 3 hours in total to watch the videos and complete the course. You can save and exit at any time so you do not have to complete it all in one sitting. You have the opportunity to redo any incorrect answers until they are all answered correctly.

Plumbers/ Drainlayers
To install AES wastewater systems you need to be a NZ Plumbers Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board (PGDB) registered drainlayer, and complete the AES online course.

Regional Authorities/ Building Consent Authority Employees
Completing this certification course is a simple way to familiarise yourself with the basic features of an AES system.
